BRIDGES GOES ABOVE AND "BEYOND"

Last night in Beverly Hills, Columbia's Leon Bridges played an intimate show for a crowd of about 100 people at the Waldorf Astoria. The glitzy event, which included "extensive culinary offerings and custom cocktails" by renowned celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, was put on by Live Nation and Hilton Honors. HITS' Samantha Hissong is still snacking on the evening's caviar toast, a plate of which somehow made it into her purse.

Bridges, whose at the center of much Grammy talk, played an hour's worth of material, pulling from 2015 breakout Coming Home and this year's Good Thing, which was the biggest new release of its week when it bowed Top 5 in May. The critically acclaimed artist, whose "Bad Bad News" went #1 at Triple A radio in the spring, is currently Top 10 at the format with "Beyond." And he recently extended his buzzing tour.
