They include outgoing Recording Academy chief Neil Portnow, whose final Grammys will hopefully be a step up from this year’s face-plant; sizzling-hot Interscope chief John Janick, whose roster is loaded with potential Grammy nominees, including “Up”-wardly mobile Ella Mai; and the rock-renaissance men of Greta Van Fleet, who have seized control of the genre/category even prior to the release of their brand-new debut LP.
