CANADA JUST GOT MUCH COOLER

Erica Grayson will be stepping into the post of Sr. A&R Executive, Los Angeles at The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN).

The industry vet and self-described "intrapreneur" will oversee membership in the U.S. market. She'll also work closely with Canadian songwriters, screen composers and music publishers and will work to raise SOCAN's U.S. profile.

Grayson (seen above with SOCAN Director of Membership Rodney Murphy) previously worked and/or consulted for Sony, Interscope, Motown, Atlantic, OVO and other companies, and has been an outspoken advocate for diversity in the biz.

She has advised us against making any maple syrup, poutine or hockey jokes, so we got gornisht.
