U.K. CHARTS: EM HOLDS ONTO #1

Eminem has denied Paul Weller a chance at #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with Kamikaze (Interscope) claiming a third week at the top on 29k combined sales. Albums by Pale Waves, David Guetta and Jungle are also new in the Top 10.

Eminem finished 5k sales ahead of Weller, who has settled for second place with True Meanings (Parlophone).

The second highest new albums entry is the debut from Pale Waves, My Mind Makes Noises (Dirty Hit), which lands at #8. David Guetta has his fourth Top 10 album with 7 (Parlophone) at #9, while Jungle finish at #10 with their second record, For Ever (XL).

The best-selling vinyl of the week, Aphex Twin's new EP Collapse (Warp), lands at #11, while electronic duo Orbital record their highest U.K. chart position in 17 years with Monsters Exist (ACP) at #12. Further down, Carrie Underwood nets her third U.K. Top 20 album with Cry Pretty (Universal) at #16.

On the Official Singles Chart, there are no new entries in the Top 40. Calvin Harris and Sam Smith have a third week at #1 with "Promises" (Columbia) selling 6k combined sales more than “Eastside” (Virgin EMI) by Benny Blanco f/Halsey & Khalid.

Marshmello f/Bastille’s “Happier” (Positiva) rises one place to #5, while two songs enter the Top 10 for the first time: “In My Mind” (Ministry of Sound) by Dynoro & Gigi D'Agostino at #8, and Silk City f/Dua Lipa's “Electricity” (Columbia) at #10. This week’s highest climber is Machine Gun Kelly's diss track to Eminem, “Rap Devil” (Bad Boy), up 16 slots to #15.
