Ryan Tedder is returning to Scott Borchetta’s The Launch as celebrity mentor/producer for the CTV show’s second season along with Sarah McLachlan and Max Kerman, frontman for The Arkells.
Quebec pop star Marie-Mai is joining the series as a permanent mentor alongside Big Machine’s Borchetta. Production begins Wednesday in Toronto.
“We have great artistic talent from across Canada and we’ve landed a host with the absolute most, Liz Trinnear,” said Borchetta between bites of poutine and caribou sausage. “Sarah McLachlan will be amazing to work with as will my new friend Max Kerman.”
Music from the first season amassed 21m streams and Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine’s “Ain’t Easy” went platinum and led to the duo winning an iHeartRadio MMVA for new Canadian artist.
More celebrity mentors and artists will be announced later.
