MASSEY AMASSING ARISTA STAFF

Arista architect David Massey is building out his marketing staff with the appointments of Brian Vinikoor (VP of Marketing), Dee Heuvelings (Sr. Director A&R and Marketing) and Ethan Geltzer (Sr. Director of Digital Marketing & Branding). Each is based in New York and reports to Massey, who had some words for the occasion.

“I am delighted to welcome Brian, Dee and Ethan to the team,” the boss began. “We are building Arista as a new-model major label, and they each are forward-thinking industry professionals with experience outside of the recorded-music business who bring a tremendous amount of creativity and expertise to the company. I look forward to working with them to develop progressive and innovative approaches to marketing, branding and discovery that will help our artists advance their careers and connect with audiences on a global scale.”

Vinikoor, who joins Arista from management-services company mtheory, relishes this “rare opportunity to build a music company from the ground up.”

Heuvelings, who previously curated Spotify playlists in Amsterdam, looks forward to “being part of the development and the creative process while continuing to do what makes me truly thrive, finding great talent and introducing artists to an audience.”

Onetime Island staffer Geltzer, who then founded DJ-centric KNCTRNL Artist MGMT, is “really excited to work with such an inspiring and talented team on building an iconic label from the ground up, and…helping our artists create authentic brands that resonate with fans around the world.”
