SIRIUSXM TALKS UP NEW MUSIC TALK SHOWS

SiriusXM announced two new talk shows hosted by respected music journalists Lori Majewski and Alan Light, both airing on the Volume channel, where music is the conversation.

Fierce: Women in Music, hosted by Majewski, and In the Light, hosted by Light, are the latest programs examining the world of music, through the lens of special celebrity musical guests.

Majewski's program will air monthly on Thursdays at 1 pm ET (10 am PT) on Volume channel 106, and feature performers to behind-the-scene influencers discussing the challenges and triumphs they’ve encountered on their personal journeys. Guests will include Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Ann Wilson, Joan Jett and others.

Light's show In the Light will air on Fridays at 7 pm ET (4 pm PT) on the Volume channel, beginning on 10/5. This one-hour program will explore career defining moments—or what nearly destroyed them—in the journey to the top of the charts.  Guests will include Steve Perry, Brandi Carlile and Myles Kennedy, and the inaugural show on 10/5 features special guest Joe Elliott, lead singer of Def Leppard

“Our listeners are always on the hunt to hear more of the inside, personal stories from the artists themselves,” said Roger Coletti, Executive Producer of SiriusXM’s Volume channel.

Oh, we've got one for you guys: SiriusXM dragging their heels on the recently passed Music Modernization Act— legislation that directly impacts artists and songwriters.
