U.K. CHARTS: EMINEM STAYS AT #1

Sir Paul McCartney has ended the week at #3 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with Egypt Station (Virgin EMI) as Eminem logs a second week at #1. Over on singles, Kanye West has scored his highest single debut in nine years with “I Love It” f/Lil Pump (Def Jam) at #3.

Egypt Station was the best seller on physical formats; Kamikaze was this week’s most-streamed and downloaded record, with 51% of sales coming from streams.

The T.Rex box set Gold (Demon) is the second highest new albums entry at #8, followed by Paul Simon at #10 with In The Blue Light (Sony CMG). Spiritualized finish at #11 with And Nothing Hurt (Bella Union), and Clutch have their highest charting record in the U.K. to date with Book of Bad Decisions (Weathermaker) at #13. Mac Miller’s Swimming (Parlophone) rises to #17 after initially peaking at #37.

On the Official Singles Chart, Calvin Harris and Sam Smith are #1 for a second week with “Promises” (Columbia) claiming its strongest sales and streaming week yet with 63k combined sales.

At #3, “I Love It” is the first Top 40 entry for Lil Pump. West last went straight into the Top 5 when “Run This Town” with Rihanna and Jay-Z charted at #1 in 2009. His “FourFiveSeconds” alongside Rihanna and Paul McCartney rose to #3 in 2015 during its third week on sale.

Loud Luxury rise one place to #4 with “Body” (AATW) and Tyga f/Offset’s “Taste” (Empire) is up three places to #5.

Marshmello & Bastille are this week's highest climber with “Happier” (Positiva) up nine to #6, as Jess Glynne rises three slots to #11 with “All I Am” (Atlantic).

Mark Ronson & Diplo’s Silk City supergroup are the second highest new singles entry at #15 with “Electricity” f/Dua Lipa (Columbia).
