SIRIUSXM TURNS ONTO GASOLINE ALLEY

In conjunction with the release of his upcoming album Blood Red Roses (Republic, 9/28), Rod Stewart will get the career-overview treatment via a limited-run SiriusXM channel. Rod Stewart Radio launches next Thursday, 9/20 and runs through 9/30 on Channel 30, the former home of The Loft.

Expect an assortment of rarities, B-sides and live takes, along with reminiscences from Rod the Mod about his half-century career, stretching all the way back to the late ’60s, when he first came into view as the thatch-topped frontman of The Jeff Beck Group, and including his memorable ’70s run with the Faces.

The occasion has inspired manager Arnold Stiefel to show off his hot legs, wrap a feather boa around his neck and kick soccer balls into crowds of pedestrians along Rodeo Dr.
