JAMES GRANT GROUP GROWS

British-born management company James Grant Group has bolstered its operations with the acquisition of Machine Management—home to Clean Bandit, Mika and Years & Years (pictured). As part of the deal, the firm’s founder Iain Watt will lead the company’s U.K. music division, with Machine operating as a subsidiary, reports MBW.

Machine is the third management-related acquisition for JGG in the U.K., following the integration of Hall or Nothing in 2012, and Rabbit Vocal Management the year prior. The company also launched stateside last year after merging with Deckstar Management (blink-182, Steve Aoki). Its other clients include James Arthur, Take That, Morrissey, Bush, Cheat Codes and Rancid.

Hall or Nothing boss Martin Hall has been promoted to Executive Chairman at James Grant, and is tasked with expanding its music division in Blighty. Other key execs at Machine who join as part of the deal include Martha Kinn, Phil Morais and Sophie Bloggs.
