The first Sunday of the NFL season is nearly upon us, and Carrie Underwood has brought her team back together to craft a new opening theme for NBC’s Sunday Night Football. The song, “Game On,” was co-written by Warner/Chappell’s Brett James, who worked with Underwood on her previous SNF song “Oh, Sunday Night” as well as her Super Bowl/Winter Olympics anthem featuring Ludacris, “The Champion.” Chris DeStefano also collaborated on all of the above.
Carrie and Brett go all the way back to her very first hit, “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” while their partnership also resulted in “Cowboy Casanova” and her recent #1 “Church Bells.”
