PENSA IN THE
PINK AT RCA

RCA’s Val Pensa has been upped to SVP Pop/Rock Marketing. She was previously VP Marketing for the label. In addition to her active roster, Pensa will spearhead the upcoming campaigns for P!nk, Miley Cyrus, Pentatonix and ZAYN.

During her tenure as a product manager, Pensa directed campaigns for acts including Britney Spears, Tinashe, Cam, Grace, Kygo and Snakehips. She led the marketing campaign for Sia’s multi-platinum-selling 1,000 Forms of Fear and This Is Acting, winning three Clio Awards for her for “Chandelier” campaign. More recently, she was instrumental in the launch of Backstreet Boys’ comeback single, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.”

Said EVP Marketing Carolyn Williams, “Val is impressive not only due to her A+ execution but also for her limitless passion for our artists. She has enjoyed many standout moments in her career at RCA, and I’m looking forward to her next chapter.”

After expressing her gratitude to Peter Edge, John Fleckenstein, Joe Riccitelli, Williams and Nipper, Penda offered, “I’ve been lucky enough to call RCA my home for the majority of my career, and I’m thrilled to continue to work in an environment that nurtures creativity, innovation and artist development. But please don’t ask me to hang from a chandelier or ride a wrecking ball; I’m more comfortable with a standard head shot.”
