Word out of Nashville has it that a highly competitive derby to sign Lady Antebellum is coming to a close. And it looks like the big winner is Scott Borchetta, whose Big Machine Label Group is poised to be the next home for the multi-platinum, Grammy-award winning group, who have been at UMG’s Capitol Nashville since their self-titled debut in 2008.
This week’s CMA nominations rollout revealed that the Red Light-repped band is up for 2018 Vocal Group of the Year. Their most recent album, Heart Break, dropped in June of last year. It was nominated for Album of the Year at both the 2017 CMAs and ACMs, as well as Best Country Album at this year’s Grammys. Back in 2011, they won both the Song and Record of the Year Grammys with mega-smash “Need You Now,” which is currently nine-times platinum.
