"Coming Home" by Capitol Nashville's Keith Urban f/Julia Michaels, which recently rose to #1 at Country radio, reflects the contributions of a number of heavyweights. Warner/Chappell songwriters Nicolle Galyon and Michaels share songwriting credit with UMPG writer Urban, Sony/ATV tunesmith J.R. Rotem and the legendary Merle Haggard (via the legendary "Mama Tried" guitar riff). What's more, the song was A&R'd and executive-produced by none other than Amazon Global Head of Originals and Artist Relations Dan McCarroll.
Of course, Dan is a seasoned music exec with experience at the top tier of multiple labels and pubcos, not to mention a veteran musician and producer. (He even served briefly in the HITS cesspool, though he keeps that off his resume.) What's more, if you hire Dan to produce your record, he will be shipped to your location in no more than two days, along with a package of tube socks and a bestselling paperback.
Rumors that Dan is recording a duet with Alexa couldn't be confirmed at presstime.
