RCA U.K. UPS TWO EXECUTIVES

David Dollimore, center, hands over the reins for PR to Sarah Hall and playlisting to James Bass.

RCA U.K. has new heads of publicity and playlisting. Label President David Dollimore has upped Sarah Hall to run the PR department and tapped James Bass in the newly created role of Head of Playlisting.

“James and Sarah are two of the most talented and respected executives in the business; they are mainstays of the label and have delivered time and again for RCA,” Dollimore said. “It’s always good to be able to promote great people from within the ranks.”

Hall joined RCA’s publicity department in 2009, handling campaigns for Justin Timberlake, P!nk, Daft Punk and many others. Hall joined RCA from MBCPR and prior to that worked in the press office at Island Records where she did regional and online publicity.

Bass has been in RCA’s promotions department since 2013, beginning as Senior National Radio Plugger. He has worked on music from Timberlake, Beyoncé, Pharrell Williams and others, and was key in guiding Paloma Faith to her first #1 album. Prior to RCA, Bass was at Polydor Records for five years, during which time he worked his way up from Radio Plugger to Head of National Radio.
