DOMINIC'S PREVIEW

Inside sources have it that musician Dominic Fike, who is signed to Tha Lights Global via the Sony deal, will be going through Ron Perry’s Columbia. The Floridian was the subject of a sharply contested derby involving multiple big players that was believed to close at around $4m.

The signing of the TLG deal and the forthcoming Lil Pump albums. as we reported on 5/31, are a coup for Rob Stringer and company, and the Fike deal is a big W for Perry. If Pump also ends up on Columbia, the label could get a nice marketshare bump from TLG. Perry continues the work of modernizing Columbia in alignment with the new streaming ecosystem as he begins his eighth month on the job.

Pump, meanwhile, still owes WMG an album under the deal we detailed on 3/14; that second full-length is due to drop around the time of the rapper's 18th birthday, later this month.
