Ariana Grande is not playing around. The Republic superstar's jaw-dropping video for "God is a woman," the second track from forthcoming set Sweetener (due 8/17) is her most visually adventurous statement yet, and a fitting accompaniment to the song's sense of purpose. Dave Meyers helmed the clip, which finds the singer deconstructing her image as a siren, casting herself as a world-spanning deity, recreating classical art in feminist form and hurling a giant gavel like Thor's hammer after reciting a biblical passage (with one distaff edit) made famous by Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction. Check it out below. The single, by the by, is already Top 5 at iTunes.
