SUBMARINE DOCKS AT AMAZON, IN THEATERS

Amazon Prime is taking a stream 80,000 leagues under the sea to Pepperland to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ animated film Yellow Submarine. Beginning today, Yellow Submarine is streaming on Prime for the first time in the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Italy and Spain.

A landmark in animation, the trippy Yellow Submarine features Heinz Edelmann’s art direction, George Martin’s score and, of course, 15 Beatles songs. Besides their appearance on Amazon Prime, the Blue Meanies, apple bonkers and snapping turtle turks are appearing in theaters as the film begins a 50th anniversary theatrical run today.
