With his Apple gig winding (or wound) down, the extremely wealthy Dr. Dre is back at the recording console. The task at hand: mixing Anderson .Paak’s album—reportedly titled Oxnard Ventura—for Aftermath/12 Tone. And we know this because Aftermath Head A&R Ty Cannon posted a photo on Instagram showing the good Dr. hard at work in the control room, accompanied by a caption explaining what he’s up to.
Additionally, Onsmash shared a screencap containing an apparent iMessage exchange between producer and artist. "Thank you for letting me do my thing with your project," writes Dre. "I promise I won't let you down. I'm in it!!!"
