TROY RUMORS
SWIRL ON

Rumors continue to swirl around Troy Carter, with the New York Post's Page Six the latest to jump in the swim with the suggestion (citing "sources") that the recent UJA honoree will be moving to Epic Records, a claim it says Spotify and Epic have both denied.

You'll recall that we began writing about Carter's possible exit from the streamery last month.

The Post's article retraces the outrage over Spotify's controversial content policies and recounts the litany of top execs who've lately departed the Sweden-based company. Speculation also continues about what's behind these exits, with some observers contending the stock offering was a motivator for them to cash out and seek higher-paying gigs elsewhere. Spotify stock is currently hovering at around $175 per share, down slightly from an all-time high of $178.10 last week.
