"GHOST" STORY: BADFLOWER'S POWERFUL NEW CLIP

"Ghost," the powerful yet unsentimental new clip from Big Machine/John Varvatos band Badflower—about the pull of suicide in the wake of terrible loss—demonstrates the unique ability of rock to address difficult subject matter in an engaging way. Frontman Josh Katz draws us down into the depths as both singer and star of the story, while the blazing energy and commitment of the band lift us up.

“I think suicide is horrible, and tragic, and I don’t support it. But I feel that tug; I know that level of sadness and confusion,” says Katz. “I understand what it feels like to be a stranger on this planet. There’s a million artists more qualified to inspire people to ‘stay positive’ and ‘never give up.’ And I hope to one day be in a place to provide that as well. But I’m still struggling. So for now, all can I offer is another voice that says you’re not alone.”

The initial comments on the clip suggest the band's bold storytelling is already having an impact on the lives of listeners. Check it out.

"Ghost" is available everywhere and due to hit radio soon.
