FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

PlayboiCarti's surprise release is already screaming its way up Apple Music’s chart and, despite no pre-sales, it’s Top 10 at iTunes where Charlie Puth is the pace setter this flipover Friday.

Puth's second album, Voicenotes (Artist Partner), sits at #1, followed by Arctic MonkeysTranquility Base Hotel & Casino (Domino) at #2. The Monkeys are opening pop-up shops today in six cities—New York, Sheffield, England, and Berlin among them—to offer physical copies of their music and merch.

Bad Wolves, the Eleven Seven rock act that hit with their recent cover of The Cranberries’ “Zombie,” are at #3 with Disobey. The 12th studio album from alt-metal act Sevendust, All I See is War (Rise), is #4.

After announcing the release of a new album seven hours before it hit the Internet, Playboi Carti's Die Lit (AWGE/Interscope) drummed up enough business to get it to #7 at iTunes and #3 on Apple Music where it is this week’s top rookie.

Beach House's aptly titled 7 (Sub Pop)—yes, it’s their seventh album—is #8. Frozen: The Broadway Musical (Walt Disney) lets it go at #9.

Self Promotion, a four-song EP from Wale released Tuesday, is #12 at Apple Music and Ski Mask the Slump God’s Beware the Book of Eli (Republic) is #14.

On the singles side at iTunes, Selena Gomez’s track from Interscope’s 13 Reasons Why: Season 2 soundtrack, “Back to You,” sits at #2 followed by John Mayer’s surprise drop, “New Light” on his Snack Money label, at #3.
