FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

Post Malone is in the driver’s seat at iTunes and Apple Music this flipover Friday. His beerbongs & bentleys (Republic) is #1 at iTunes and parked in two spots at Apple Music: The explicit version is #2 and clean one is #6.

Beyond that, two of the album’s tracks, “Ball for Me” f/Nicki Minaj and “Psycho” f/Ty Dolla $ign, have breached the Top 5 on the songs chart, where labelmate Ariana Grande's "No Tears Left to Cry" is #2. The Camila Cabello remix featuring Kane Brown, "Never Be the Same " (SYCO/Epic) zooms to #1, showing a potency similar to that of another pop-country collab, the indefatigable Bebe Rexha/FGL joint "Meant to Be" (Warner Bros.) which sits at #4. Camila's original version is #11. Think the song's a hit?

The original "Never Be the Same" and Ariana's "No Tears" are both priced at 69 cents. Make of that what you will; certain parties in our building can weave elaborate theories with such data, but our eyes invariably glaze over.

Several other Post tunes, it should be added, are bubbling up into the teens on the song side. On Apple Music, the streaming king has two of the Top 10 and eight of the Top 20. We expect him to make plenty of noise at Spotify, Amazon and other DSPs.

But back to the albums. Janelle Monae's Dirty Computer (Bad Boy) logs on at #2, Godsmack's When Legends Rise (Godsmack/BMG) pops up at #3 and Keith Urban's Graffiti U (Hit Red/Capitol Nashville), fresh off a big Spotify look, is #4.

Young Boy Never Broke’s Until Death Call My Name (Never Broke Again) is charting higher at Apple Music, where he is #4, than his #6 slot at iTunes. Nashville-based duo of two Alabamans, Muscadine Bloodline, hits #7 with their Movin’ On EP (CN).

The umpteenth Willie Nelson album, Last Man Standing (Sony Legacy), sparks up at #9.

Just outside the Top 10 are new releases from Warner Bros.' Anne-Marie, Andy Mineo, Morgan Wallen and Maranda Curtis. At Apple Music, Love & Hip-Hop’s Tammy Rivera’s first album Fate, released Monday by BSM, is #15.
