J. COLE JOINS AN EXCLUSIVE CLUB

J. Cole will shortly become only the third artist thus far to collect over 300m streams from an album in a single week.

Songs from Cole’s KOD (Dreamville/Roc Nation/Interscope) are projected to stream 325-340m times in the week ending 4/26. At the high end of the projection, KOD would be tied with Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN., which logged just over 340m streams in its first week. Drake, of course, currently holds the single-week record with 385m streams from More Life in March 2017.

With Cole, Interscope has two of the three members of the 300 Million Club. While it’s taken a year for the club to add its third member, the next few inductees may be just around the corner. With new albums on deck from Post Malone (4/27), Kanye West (6/1) and Drake (TBD, but expected in June), insiders are wondering how long it will be before we see 400m or even 500m streams in a release's first week.

Cole has also dropped a new clip for "Kevin's Heart," starring, aptly enough, Kevin Hart. Stream that below.
