FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

J. Cole's KOD (Dreamville/Roc Nation/Interscope) is #1 at iTunes and Apple Music on this flipover Friday and eight of the album’s tracks are in the Top 10 on Apple Music’s Top Songs chart. Does KOD stand for King of On-Demand?

ITunes also welcomes a new #1 on the songs side, Ariana Grande’s "No Tears Left to Cry" (Republic). Also new on the songs chart is the Sugarland f/Taylor Swift single “Babe” (Big Machine/UMG Nashville), which pops in at #6.

On the albums side, it’s an avalanche of rookies with 13 newcomers besides J. Cole in the Top 20.

At #2 is A Perfect Circle’s first album in 14 years, Eat the Elephant (BMG), with Redneck Nation rapper Upchurch’s Creeker streaming in at #3.

Brothers Osborne, who will perform 4/23 on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, dock at #5 with their second album, Port Saint Joe (EMI Nashville).

Church of Scars (Teleport/Island), the debut full-length from Bishop Briggs, whose parents hail from Bishopbriggs, Scotland, is #5 followed by L.A.’s Lord Huron, whose first album for Whispering Pines Studios/Republic, Vide Noir is #7. Rap-metal act From Ashes to New lands at #10 with The Future (Better Noise).

New titles are also landing between #13 and #19, among them albums from Sting & Shaggy, Kimbra, Old Crow Medicine Show and Ashley Monroe.
