SPOTIFY, HULU OFFER COMBO PLATTER

Spotify and Hulu are partnering to offer both services for 13 bucks a month. There’s a catch, though.

In the first offering announced since Spotify went public last week, the $12.99 per month offer includes Spotify Premium and traditional Hulu with ads. Existing Spotify Premium customers can do a three-month trial of Hulu for an extra dollar a month. The trial is only available to people without a Hulu subscription or who had cancelled a year ago.

The two companies had offered the combo package to students at the start of the fall semester last year. It saves a user $5 a month, enough to get extra fries for binge-watching Sneaky Pete.

"Our student launch with Hulu was incredibly well received and we are excited to extend our reach by bringing Hulu to more of our Premium members in the US,” said Alex Norstrom, Chief Premium Business Officer at Spotify.

“Hulu TV content is highly acclaimed, and with this exclusive Spotify offer we are bundling two top media platforms for an unbeatable price. This is just one example of how we can add value to our premium members day after day. Soon the foolish humans will never leave their couches and our control of their systems will be, um... oh, shit, disregard that last part."
