eONE GOES LIVE WITH ROUND ROOM DEAL

eOne has acquired NYC-based Round Room, a live-entertainment company founded by Stephen Shaw in 2016. The deal was announced by eOne Global President, Music Chris Taylor (at center in the photo) Shaw (left) and Round Room’s Jonathan Linden (right).

Co-Presidents Shaw and Linden will report to Taylor, whose oversight includes artist management.

Under the terms of the agreement, Round Room will work closely with the eOne artist-management team to extend artists’ reach with audiences and maximize fan loyalty.

“Across all areas of music, we work with so many spokes on the wheel, and live entertainment is such an important one,” Taylor pointed out in his statement. “Adding Round Room to our team, with Stephen and Jonathan at the helm, is going to provide the capacity to expand the reach of our brands, touch more fans on a global scale and further elevate our management roster.”

Along with expressing their excitement about joining eOne, Shaw and Linden both stated that they look forward to working closely with Taylor and his team, while Shaw described the deal as “a very strategic move for both sides.”

Between them, Shaw and Linden have worked on tours for The Rolling Stones, Barbra Streisand and Oprah Winfrey, as well as Broadway productions including Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark and Rock of Ages. The partners worked together at Concert Productions International, Live Nation and S2BN Entertainment, all of which were led by former Live Nation Chairman Michael Cohl.

eOne and Round Room previously collaborated on the PJ Masks Live touring experience, based on eOne’s PJ Masks preschool franchise, which completed its initial run of U.S. dates in late 2017, selling 150k+ tickets. The tour continues thus year with dates in Australia and the U.S.
