WE'RE TRYING TO WATCH OUR TONE

In its never-ending quest to provide information that's not only late but also inaccurate, The Music Industry Bible has published a story about Doug Morris' 12 Tone imprint and its WMG distribution deal without attributing our prior story, though it says Morris is "in talks" with the label on what is in fact a done deal.

Billboard's story describes the venture as "one of several emerging music firms with major-label veterans at their helms looking to compete with the three big record companies," which is a tad mystifying since Morris will be distributed by one of the majors. But never mind.

Also, the last paragraph of the story refers to the company as "21 Tone." That's, like, nine more tones, innit?
