FUTUREKIND GRANTED ACCESS

Chuck Waite, Sarah Stennett and Laurence Abrahams

Sarah Stennett’s First Access Entertainment has invested in U.K.-based music company Futurekind, which provides publishing, recording, licensing and branding services, as well as repping writers and producers through a global frontline JV with Guy Moot and Sony/ATV.

Those include The 23rd (Sigrid, Astrid S, Alma), Tom Mann (Liam Payne, James TW, Pretty Much), Dan Bartlett (Little Mix, Feder) and Jamie Norton (Take That).

Futurekind was founded by lawyer Laurence Abrahams, whom Stennett has worked with at the music law firm she co-founded, SSB, and Dirty Hit co-founder Chuck Waite in 2016.

"I am very happy for First Access Entertainment to partner with Futurekind," said Stennett. “I have known Laurence for years, through his great work as a partner at SSB, and have admired Chuck's historical success as a manager and co-founder of Dirty Hit. Young, dynamic, entrepreneurial, innovative and driven by a genuine passion and love for music, Chuck and Laurence and their fledgling company encapsulate the spirit of everything I value within the entertainment industry.”

At SSB, Abrahams represented clients such as Dua Lipa, Rag N Bone Man and George Ezra. As co-founder of Dirty Hit, Waite has had a hand in the success of The 1975 and Wolf Alice, and manages writer and producer Joe Janiak (Ellie Goulding, Sigrid, Snakehips, Britney Spears).

“Our partnership with Sarah Stennett and First Access Entertainment accelerates our movement into markets we never thought possible at this stage: to be truly global,” said Waite. “Sarah’s perspective and dedication to creating the next phase of the entertainment industry is immensely impressive. There are no restrictions or predetermined parameters by which she operates, and her experience and success speaks for itself.

“We are very proud of the company we have built,” Waite added, “and even more so of the disruptive plan we now have in place, with the involvement of Sarah and her incredible team at First Access Entertainment.”
