THE VOICE VS. IDOL: WHO WON?

More than 20 million viewers watched music competition shows on Monday night. The winner was…

NBC’s The Voice, which attracted 11.72m viewers vs. ABC’s American Idol, which had a viewership of 8.36m. The two shows went head-to-head for the first time in the 8-10pm block.

Idol’s audience took a hefty 20% dip from its Sunday night debut. The Voice was up a smidge from last week’s 11.46m viewers.
