U.K. CHARTS: ED SHEERAN BREAKS ANOTHER RECORD

Can Ed Sheeran break one more record before we all move on? The Atlantic artist has become the first to have three different albums log a whole year in the U.K’s Official Charts Top 10 with ÷ ending its 52nd week at #2 today. 6ix9ine is the highest new entry at #20 with his debut mixtape, Day69 (ScumGang/TenThousand), while Post Malone enters at #4 on singles with “Psycho” f/Ty Dolla $ign (Island).

Sheeran's debut album, +, has spent a total of 56 weeks inside the Top 10 since its release in 2011, while his second album X —also back into the fold today at #10—has logged 98 weeks in the Top 10. The Greatest Showman soundtrack (Atlantic) is #1 on albums for an eighth week, while Dua Lipa holds at #3 with her debut (Warner Bros.). Rag’n’Bone Man stays put at #4 with Human (Columbia) while Stormzy is up five places to #5 with Gang Signs & Prayer (Merky).

On the Official Singles Chart, “God’s Plan” (Island) by Drake has extended its reign at #1 for a sixth week. Rudimental are still #2 with “These Days” (Asylum), followed by Dua Lipa with “IDGAF” at #3. Portugal. The Man is down to #5 with “Feel it Still” (Atlantic).

“Friends” (Atlantic) by Marshmello and Anne-Marie is up four places to #5. Other high risers include Justin Timberlake's Chris Stapleton collab “Say Something” (RCA), which is up 12 places to #10 following their BRITs performance. New entry “Want You Back” (Capitol) by 5 Seconds of Summer ends the week at #22.

George Ezra’s “Paradise” (Columbia) makes its Top 40 debut at #30, climbing 15 places, and Sigala debuts at #32 with “Lullaby” f/Paloma Faith (Ministry of Sound).
