UME TAPS CAPITOL'S SZYDLOWSKI
Capitol Music Group SVP Vince Szydlowski has been appointed Executive Vice President of Commercial Sales for Universal Music Enterprises, where he will work with all UMG labels and all UMG partners to maximize commercial opportunities for the world’s largest music catalog.
Since mid-2014, Szydlowski has been Senior Vice President of Label Sales for Capitol Music Group where he had an active hand in the planning and execution of releases from Sam Smith, Katy Perry, Lil Yachty and others. Prior to that he was VP, National Sales, Universal Music Group Distribution. He began his industry career at Virgin in 1992.
“Vince brings to UMe years of sales and commercial experience along with and a wealth of music knowledge and an innovative and creative spirit,” UMe President/CEO Bruce Resnikoff said. “These attributes make him the ideal candidate to lead our team and develop and implement new strategies across the many platforms in the ever-changing commercial landscape.”
