Vince Gill has added his glorious voice to the #MeToo movement, singing his unreleased song "Forever Changed" earlier this week during a UMG Nashville showcase as part of the Country Radio Seminar at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. Written in 2004, and inspired by an incident in Gill's own life, the song is extraordinarily timely now in that it deals with sexual abuse, as RollingStone.com points out.

"You put your hands where they don't belong and now her innocence is dead and gone," the chorus begins. "God was watching and he knows your name/because of you, she's forever changed."

Now that “Forever Changed” has been heard by so many programmers at the Country format, perhaps the time is right for the powerful song to be recorded and given an official release.
