IT'S DWIN FOR THE WIN AS SONY HUMAN RESOURCES HEAD

Sony Music has appointed Dasha Smith Dwin EVP and Global Chief Human Resources Officer, announced SME boss Rob Stringer and COO Kevin Kelleher, to whom Dwin will report.

In the NYC-based post, Dwin will lead the company's global human resources efforts. She has already issued us a list of jokes we can't use in this post.

Before joining Sony, Denver native Dwin assayed a wide range of responsibilities for global asset-management firm GCM Grosvenor, where, we're thinking, she rarely had to deal with wacky-nutty music trade publications.

“We sought an innovative and visionary leader of our global Human Resources business," reads a quote from Stringer. "We found that person in Dasha." He added, "The world is obviously changing and we believe this appointment gives Sony Music an opportunity to be a leader in Human Resources, a strategic priority for our organization.”

Commented Kelleher, "Dasha possesses a broad base of experience and a strong background in media, which will support our human resources organization worldwide. Her strategic and analytical skills will help us create a workplace environment that attracts, retains and motivates top tier talent."

“I am honored to join Sony Music. Working with dynamic teams around the world in pursuit of Sony Music’s strategic plan is a unique opportunity. Rob and Kevin lead a best-in-class management team and it is a privilege to join the organization. Also, I hope never to deal with HITS again."
