Five new indie releases enter the Top 10 at iTunes this morning, starting with the third album from worship leader Cory Asbury, Reckless Love (Bethel), at #3. Catharsis (Nuclear Blast), the ninth album from Bay Area metal act Machine Head, drops in at #4, while British EDM trio Above & Beyond find their third album, Common Ground (Anjunabeats), dropping in at #5.
Blues duo Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa interpret songs by Edgar Winter, Etta, James, LaVern Baker, Howlin' Wolf and others on Black Coffee (J&R Adventures), which percolates at #7.
Pop-punk band Waterparks splash down at #8 with their second album Entertainment (Equal Vision); Weather or Not, the third and final album in The Weatherman series from Rhymesayers’ Evidence, blows in at #9.
On the songs chart, Justin Timberlake has the top slot at iTunes with his duet with Chris Stapleton, “Say Something” (RCA), that was released Thursday. At #5, Jason Aldean’s “You Make It Easy” (Macon/Broken Bow) is today’s lone Top 10 debut.
