FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

Migos’ Culture II (QC/Motown/Capitol) debuts at #1 at iTunes and Apple Music as expected on this flipover Friday, which might otherwise be declared independents day.

Five new indie releases enter the Top 10 at iTunes this morning, starting with the third album from worship leader Cory Asbury, Reckless Love (Bethel), at #3. Catharsis (Nuclear Blast), the ninth album from Bay Area metal act Machine Head, drops in at #4, while British EDM trio Above & Beyond find their third album, Common Ground (Anjunabeats), dropping in at #5.

Blues duo Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa interpret songs by Edgar Winter, Etta, James, LaVern Baker, Howlin' Wolf and others on Black Coffee (J&R Adventures), which percolates at #7.

Pop-punk band Waterparks splash down at #8 with their second album Entertainment (Equal Vision); Weather or Not, the third and final album in The Weatherman series from Rhymesayers Evidence, blows in at #9.

On the songs chart, Justin Timberlake has the top slot at iTunes with his duet with Chris Stapleton, “Say Something” (RCA), that was released Thursday. At #5, Jason Aldean’s “You Make It Easy” (Macon/Broken Bow) is today’s lone Top 10 debut.
