HELLO, DARCUS, MY OLD FRIEND

British artist Ray BLK, the first unsigned artist to win the BBC Sound of gong in 2017, poses with First Access manager Sarah Stennett and Island Records U.K. President Darcus Beese. Ray self-released a seven-track EP last year, Durt, and was featured on the Gorillaz album Humanz. She is a MOBO nominee and was given the New Artist Award at Music Week’s Women in Music Awards in November. Scones and jam followed. "So, what's HITS, then?" the artist asked. "Just smile and it'll be over soon, love," Sarah replied.
