Kobalt President and Chief Revenue Officer Laurent Hubert has joined the National Music Publishers’ Association’s Board of Directors.
“Laurent is a veteran of our board and a key leader at Kobalt, and I am thrilled Willard Ahdritz has chosen him to once again join us,” NMPA President/CEO David Israelite said. ”We welcome the unique perspectives that Laurent and Kobalt bring as the publishing industry faces dynamic challenges and opportunities. Our board thrives on the experience of its members, and Laurent’s expertise in multiple facets of the publishing industry will be an important addition.”
Hubert has more than 20 years of international general management experience including 12 years in senior management roles within the music publishing industry. Prior to joining Kobalt, he was President, Marketing & Creative, at BMG, and a partner at Parthian Strategies, a media advisory boutique.
“Today’s music environment is exciting but also continues to increase in complexity as the industry scales across new digital platforms,” Hubert said “I am thrilled to be back and contributing to the NMPA board to ensure writers and publishers’ interests are looked after as the music industry continues to evolve.”
