RECORDS has announced its JV with Columbia by trumpeting a new signing. Barry Weiss and team have inked singer/songwriter and actress Lennon Stella (co-star of the CMT TV series Nashville), and the Canadian artist’s forthcoming set—due this year—will be distributed by Columbia.
Stella earned some viral love a few years back as part of the duo Lennon & Maisy (which also featured her sister), scoring 100m+ views on their YouTube channel. Her tenure on Nashville followed.
Weiss praised the singer’s artistry, vocal prowess and star power, adding, “I’m elated that [A&R exec] Jenna Andrews brought her to us.”
