HAS NEW COLUMBIA BOSS PERRY INKED HIS FIRST MAJOR ACT?

Sources close to the situation say Columbia boss Ron Perry has inked acclaimed producer/artist Diplo to the label. Perry previously signed Diplo to SONGS Music Publishing, which was sold to Kobalt in December—just before the exec began his Columbia tenure.

Diplo's projects have sold over 20 million combined units; he was nominated for a Producer of the Year Grammy in 2013 and again in 2016.
