WHOLE LOTTA TOURING GOIN' ON

Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers will travel to 30+ cities across the U.S. and Canada beginning 5/10 in Charlotte, N.C. and wrapping 7/14 in Bethel, NY. The stop in Nashville at the Ascend Amphitheater on 5/20 and play The Forum on 5/30. Click for details.

Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper, who went out together last summer, return for a 22-date tour that begins 6/25 at the Hollywood Bowl. They’ll play Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on 8/1 and Madison Square Garden on 8/7. The tour wraps 9/1 at Seattle’s White River Amphitheater. Details are here.

Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit have announced spring tour in support of The Nashville Sound (Southeastern Records), which is up for two Grammys—Best Americana Album and Best American Roots Song. Richard Thompson has been slated to open most of the new dates.

Shows are mostly in the South, starting 4/14 in Savannah, Ga., and wrapping 5/10 in Huntsville, Ala. They’ll be playing the Stagecoach festival in Indio, Calif., on 4/28. Details are here.

David Byrne will play six dates in the Northeast and Coachella around the 3/9 release of his new Todomundo/Nonesuch album American Utopia. After shows in Red Bank, N.J., and Waterbury, Conn., Byrne heads to South America for three Lollapalooza dates before returning to the States for Coachella and the Shaky Knees festival in Atlanta. He’ll spend the summer playing festival dates in Europe as well as the XPoNential Music Festival in Camden, N.J. on 7/27. For details click here.

Tedeschi Trucks Band has most of the dates set for the fourth installment of their annual Wheels of Soul summer tour, this year featuring Drive-By Truckers and opener The Marcus King Band. The five-week tour starts in the Southeast on 6/29 and wraps with two nights at Red Rocks in Colorado (7/28-29). Details are here.
