DAY OF THE DOORS, PART II

John Densmore will read some of Jim Morrison’s poetry Thursday at the second annual Day of The Doors celebration in Encino.

At 10 a.m., at the intersection of Morrison Street and Densmore Avenue, Los Angeles City Councilmember Paul Koretz will unveil new street signs at the intersection. In case you’re wondering, there are no Manzarek or Krieger streets in Los Angeles.

The first Day of The Doors was held last year in Venice to celebrate the L.A. band’s 50th anniversary. We look forward to a celebration held in a Hollywood bungalow.
