Ed Sheeran took the lead on our 2017 rundown in the year's final week, making his omission from the Grammy Album of the Year nominees all the more glaring. Kendrick Lamar finishes a strong second. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift, despite being #3 in total activity, has far and away the greatest number of pure album sales (apart from Sheeran, she's the only act here to clear the million-sales mark); it's fascinating to compare her stats to the titles below that achieved big totals despite album sales lower than 55k.
