THE SHAPE OF
HITS LIST

The most-talked-about person, place or thing around the industry this week has to be Ed Sheeran, who’s having an incredible year, no matter what the Grammy Secret Committee says. There’s also been plenty of chatter involving a pair of dudes with canine connections: Top Dawg, whose nose for sniffing out rarefied talent is legendary, and RCA’s Peter Edge, who’s been putting steroids in Nipper’s Kibbles ’n Bits.

In all, HITS List contains three label heads plus one label head in waiting, three acts and a mega-manager, along with the aforementioned starmaker and mysterious committee members. Collectively, these 10 are generating more cash than the GNP of Lithuania—while we’re trying to scrape up enough cash to cover a six-inch Subway sandwich.
