TAY'S "DAY" TONIGHT (UPDATE)

The world premiere performance of Taylor Swift's previously unheard "New Year's Day" (Big Machine) aired on ABC tonight, during the network's TGIT block. More specifically, the clip appeared during a break in Scandal, which airs at 9pm.

Two days ahead of her SNL episode, this was her first TV performance of a song from new album reputation, which of course drops at midnight ET.

Forget Thursday; thank god it's Taylor.
