YOUR WEEKEND BOX OFFICE

The Top 5 Highest-Grossing Films in America Over the Weekend

With close to $22m, Lionsgate's Tyler Perry's Boo 2! A Madea Halloween debuted at the top of the domestic box office and became the seventh of eight Madea films to open with more than $20m.

And although two other new releases made the Top 5, it was a pretty lackluster weekend, with Warner Bros.' big-budget disaster flick, Geostorm, bowing way below expectations and Sony's Only the Brave coming in with $6m.

Speaking of the unimpressive, Universal thriller The Snowman entered with a horrendous $3.4m at #8. The film has a 9% Rotten Tomatoes score.
