SACKHEIM TO EPIC

After weeks of speculation, Def Jam Promo head Rick Sackheim will be taking the reins at Epic as EVP, reporting to label chief Sylvia Rhone. The well-respected exec, who has been with Def Jam for 11 years—splitting his time between NYC and L.A.—will now be a major force in Epic’s home office in Culver City. Look for him to start at the end of the year.
