Taggers have been pointing their phones at speakers blasting Sony Music artists in the last week. A new hit from RCA, a remix one of the label’s catalog titles and a rising rapper on Epic are the top three greatest gainers on the Spotify USA Top 100.
P!nk’s new single “What About Us” is up 178 slots to #23 on the Spotify Top 100, making it the week’s greatest gainer. It is also up 175 slots to #25 in the U.K., making it the third biggest gainer behind Playboi Carti’s “Magnolia” and Selena Gomez’s “Fetish.”
Junkie XL’s 2002 remix of the 1968 Elvis Presley track “A Little Less Conversation” dials in listeners as we head into Elvis Week, the annual celebration of the King’s 8/16/77 death. It’s up 172 slots in the U.K. and right behind P!nk there as well.
Epic’s 21 Savage has seen his Issa burn up multiple charts and this week his 2016 collab with Metro Boomin’, “Savage Mode” (Slaughter Gang), is up 153 slots to #48.
DJ Envy, co-host of The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1, is getting attention with his New Jersey-style club banger “Text Ur Number” f/DJ Slink & Fetty Wap’s (BMG). Rico Nasty’s “Poppin” (Sugar Trap) is up 122 slots.
