The BBC is staging an '80s-themed fundraising concert in London at The SSE Arena, Wembley, on 10/19 to aid Children in Need. Bananarama, Boy George, Erasure, Jason Donovan,Louisa Johnson and OMD are among the performers.
BBC Children in Need Rocks the 80s is being held to celebrate the decade in which the first major appeal took place for BBC Children in Need. Other acts on the bill include UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey, Europe, Imagination, Nick Heyward and Katrina Leskanich from Katrina and The Waves. Fearne Cotton and Sara Cox will take on hosting duties and more acts will be announced soon.
Since its first major appeal in 1980, BBC Children in Need has raised more than £909m ($1.2b) for disadvantaged children and young people across the U.K. Get your tickets here, and legwarmers, hair scrunchies, parachute pants and shoulder pads here.
