"DESPACITO" DOES IT AGAIN
Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" (UMLE/RBLG/Def Jam/Republic) has broken another record, this time for the most-viewed video of all time on YouTube. While approaching 3b views, it's soared past Wiz Khalifa f/Charlie Puth’s “See You Again," which recently overtook Psy's five-year record holder, "Gangnam Style.”
It took just 203 days for Fonsi's official music video to become the most viewed video in YouTube history. That said, it's important to note that these numbers do not include the remix's video, which features RBMG/Def Jam's Justin Bieber and has more than 464m views.
But that’s not all, folks... The “Despacito” video, which reached the 2b and 2.5b milestones faster than any other clip, has averaged 14.5m daily views, reaching as high as 25m views in a single day. And it’s been viewed more than 1m times in over 100 countries, including Mexico (385m), Brazil (224m), the U.S. (191m), Italy (146m), France (85m), the U.K. (38m) and more.
Meanwhile, Head of Music and self-proclaimed philosopher Lyor Cohen remains the most viewed YouTube executive on Snapchat. He also remains ridiculous.
